eScrubber Email Services
Features
- Global, Group, and User Lists
eScrubber maintains white and black lists (accept and block lists). There are global lists that affect all users, group lists that affect groups of users, and user lists for individual users. The group lists override the global lists and the user lists override the group lists.- Auto-whitelisting
eScrubber can be configured to automatically add email addresses to the user's whitelist whenever the user sends mail to someone.- Block or Pass
eScrubber can either block spam entirely or mark mail as spam and pass it on to you, where your mail program will put it in a spam folder. This is selectable on a per-user basis.- Mail categories
eScrubber can mark mail as belonging to a category. For example, based on the sender's address mail can be marked as bulk and your mail program can automatically place it in a Bulk mail folder.- Archive Mail
eScrubber can archive your mail on our servers. Users can access their archived mail via a Web browser. Ordinary users cannot see other user mail. Certain users, called auditors, can have access to all archived mail.- Sarbanes-Oxley
eScrubber can comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act by archiving mail as described above except that archiving is enabled for all users and archives are written to read-only optical media periodically.- Indexed Mail
- Archived mail can be indexed so users can find mail in the archive by using a browser-based search tool that's similar to a Web search engine like Google.
- Integration with Gmail
eScrubber can integrate with Gmail accounts. Mail sent to a company address can be copied to a user's Gmail account. It doesn't matter whether you're using POP3 or IMAP within the company.- Joe Job Protection
- Joe Job attacks are where spammers send large amounts of spam with your return address. Your mail servers then receive
all the backscatter, which can overwhelm a mail server thus causing you to lose some incoming mail or shutting your
mail down entirely.
eScrubber is resistant to Joe Job attacks.
